No More Room In Hell 2: Nolde Forest
Pat Dunal did some awesome set dressing for the powerplant, I was in charge of producing the powerplant consoles and electrical boxes.
Delivered detailed 3D models of computer terminals and cabinets with a fast turnaround.
Using our custom primitive data material in Unreal Engine 5, we can enhance assets by leveraging AO and curvature to control color, dirt buildup, scratches, and grime. (I also upressed this old phone asset.)
No More Room In Hell 2: Nolde Forest
In Unreal 5, I had the wonderful opportunity to work on the first map for No More Room in Hell 2. This project not only marked the transition from Unreal 4 to Unreal 5 but also presented the largest map I had ever worked on. As a result, I had numerous opportunities to work on a mix of hard surface and landscape environment art.
I collaborated with our principal artist, Pat Dunal, and associate art director, Jonathan Wiley, on our section of the map.

Tasks included:
🛠️Pre-production planning (emotional storytelling, assisting with layout)
🛠️Creating new assets for the Powerplant map. (Building kits, powerplant terminals, electrical boxes, books, posters etc)
🛠️Building three locations of interest from pre-production to final L3. (Rangerstation, Radiostation & Lookout Tower)
🛠️Foliage/Terrain sculpting
🛠️Technical work (Remodeling assets to use our "smart" materials taking advantage of CPD instead of baking outside Unreal.)
🛠️Working with Level Design to ensure confidence in gameplay for the stages
🛠️Bug fixing collisions and navigational issues for the AI
